Why We Got Started

Bianco's Ice Cream Shop began with a deep love for our family's history and a passion for creating joy through delicious treats. Our great great uncle Joe Bianco’s drugstore was a cornerstone of the Du Quoin community. Continuing this legacy, we wanted to create a place where everyone could come together to enjoy moments of happiness with every scoop. Our aim is to blend the nostalgia of the past with the sweetness of the present, making Bianco’s a cherished part of our community once again.

OUR HISTORY

The New Bianco's Building

The building at 218 E Main dates back to 1906, and has seen many chapters of Du Quoin’s history. As we worked on its restoration, we uncovered layers of the past that connect us to our community’s rich heritage. Each renovation uncovered a story, and we are dedicated to preserving its historical charm while creating a vibrant, welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. The journey of restoring Bianco's has been as delightful as the ice cream we serve.
